Wonder if Reuters and the national media will pick up on this story? [8D] I see a Sunday, "Special Edition" coming out from the TW this weekend for sure.

Potentially "Lou's Subs and Spuds," but I'm having a hard time saying it.  Keeps coming out "Spuds and Suds."  (I guess if they just sold beer...)

Two really mediocre lunch only restaurants merge? Can they combine to form one good restaurant that's open past 2pm?

I think it will be a few years before anything main-mall facing will be open past in the evenings. Get the new hotel open, add some lofts and a bar or two and then they might stay open.

I beg to differ, sir... Lou's is just about one of the best sandwiches I've found in the whole city.  I don't know about Ok Spud, but Lou's is D-Bomb.

I don't get Lou's.  It's a step down from Subway.  I have never understood the obsession some folks have with that place.

I don't get the obsession with Subway. I like some sandwiches there but if it closed I wouldn't cry.

Lou's seems a lot like Bill and Ruths. Both places I look at their sandwiches and order the 4-way. I just love how they dispense Jalapenos through the nozzle in a plastic squeeze bottle.

I love the "Grinder" sandwich at Lous.  Their lunch combo is one of the great values downtown.  And it's locally owned.  I will always support a local establishment over any chain.  I love talking to the same people, year after year, who care about their customers as people, not just statistics.

Did I mention that I bought some of Lou's fabulous old chairs?  They're now my dining room chairs.  Love them!

Subway and Quizno's are both better than Lou's. And they don't close up shop at 1:42 pm. I too prefer local businesses but not when said local businesses aren't nearly as good or as cheap as the chain places.

To say Lou's has the best sandwich in Tulsa is something like claiming someplace has the best ethnic food in Oolagah.

The sandwich shops in this town, at least all that I've tried, don't even compare to good joints in other cities. No true delis.

With Elliot Nelson's history, I have high hopes for the Dilly Deli.

I heard Billy's may have just completed plans for new restroom fixtures.
