Title: Best health insurance to get on your own?
Post by: deinstein on August 16, 2008, 02:37:44 PM
Being that Americans hate college kids paying their way through school with jobs that don't pay for health insurance...I need to grab an overpriced plan on my own. Not that I really need it, but just for basic stuff like dental and emergencies.

I looked at Humana, and it's sort of pricey...considering I really don't plan on using it besides maybe a dentist appointment or two this year.

Any recommendations?

You should look into a Health Savings Account. Like this one (//%22http://bcbsok.com/health_check_hsa.html%22) from BCBSOK.

I would also look into the HSA and Delta Dental.
