Anybody out there affected by the outages in midtown and west Tulsa? Is this due to aging infrastructure? Will there be more due to the extreme heat?
So far so good. I'm at home recovering from surgery, so I really hope the power doesn't go out.
Did anyone see the article in the Wurld about the power outage in "Brookside"? At 71st and Lewis.

Yeah, I forgot about that one. I wonder if these will become more frequent as this heat wave continues?
I was out of power this morning for 1 1/2 hours. I didn't get a good explanation from AEP/PSO when I called. I was just packing my iron/small ironing board and getting ready to head to work to finsh getting ready when the power came back on.
Weird. No problems here at 15th and Lewis.
The heat tends to test the limits of electric infrastructure. Wires actually stretch in high heat.
Our area on the westside lost power for about 50 minutes today -- went off around 4:10.

I think we might live in the same hood. I think Renaissance was the neighborhood affected.

I'm on the west side of Renaissance. No effects here on my street, though we always seem to be lucky in the power department.
Well I work at 15th and lewis and our power was out for four hours this moring. Then I come home to the Westside to find my house without power. what a day!
61st and Lewis area has had short outages here and there since the ice storm. Hopefully whatever went out this time was the past cause too and it will now be over.
I beleive alot of damage from the ice storm has not been found yet. There has been more power surges all over town, sometimes by just the slightest wind since the ice storm.
I don't think the worst has happened yet especially since we have barely seen 100 degrees and humidity has not been as high as it will be getting.
