Supposed to go meet some clients there tomorrow. I told a friend in class and he said it was in a bad area. Our office staff said it was no big deal. What gives?
It's not in a bad area, it's the very reason the area is bad.
You should be fine. There's a guard at the front gate. I've met clients there several times and never had a problem. If it makes you nervous, take someone with you and go during the daytime.
They don't get up till the early pm. If you go before noon you'll be ok.

I was training as a loan collector for a B loan company many eons ago. At any rate, we had a past due account 2700 block of N. Hartford. The manager took myself and another cub collector with him. The manager had lived in Tulsa maybe a year. I told him it was a pretty rough area.
We drove up (name of the complex ecapes me now, it was THA) an hour after dark and were met by a car with two cops or deputies at the entrance.
"Evening fellows, what are three white guys with ties on doing up here? Are you 'witnessing' or buying crack?"
"No sir, we are loan collectors."
The driver looked at the fellow riding shot-gun, turned back to us with a huge grin, spread his hands about a foot apart:
"You boys must have b[8D]lls THIS BIG!"
Of course nobody seen her or she wasn't staying there no more. We did make it out alive.
Rex, I wouldn't sweat it. Just in case, see if your boss will loan you one of his Sigs. [;)]
I went up there. Not bad at all, and people were really nice.
Come on up. When will you be here? What will you be driving? How much cash will you have on you?

North Tulsa people are just fine. I deliver up there all of the time. I've never had a problem.
