Detroit is my home town. I was born & raised in Metro-Detroit (Warren, Michigan) It's not a bad place to live except for the cold weather and snow. The roads are in bad shape.

I think she will figure out pretty quickly that no amount of money is a good reason to stay in the Detroit market.  Blech!

Detroit is also my home town and most people have to realize, nobody really lives there.  Everyone lives in the suburbs and goes into Detroit for sports and events or to go to Windsor.

She'll have a blast there if she knows how to do it right.  Detroit is a huge media market, which I'm confident is the reason for the move.

That's true when people say "Detroit" they really mean the suburbs and they are huge suburbs. Detroit is a city to keep out of. It's dangerous even to drive thru Detroit because a car breakdown or flat tire can cost you your life. The best way to drive to the suburbs is to take the I-275 outter beltway to I-696, it's about 10 miles longer than driving I-75 straight thru Detroit but much safer should a car emergency happen. Detroit is a very dangerous city. The suburbs are not bad, but the winters are real bad and it's darn cold.

Maybe if you weren't such a douchebag she would have been nicer to you.

I had the pleasure of meeting her twice and both times she was very personable and friendly.

Maybe your "charity to all, malice to none" personality repelled her. <sarcasm off>

Carina Sonn has been named Jeff Goldblatt's replacement as a Chicago-based Midwest correspondent for Fox News Channel, confirming an Aug. 6 tip in the Chicago Tribune.

Goldblatt this week made his debut as 9 p.m. so-anchor for Fox-owned WFLD-Ch. 32.

Sonn, who comes to Fox News from the Griffin Communications CBS/CW duopoly in Tulsa, Okla., is expected to make her on-camera FNC debut next month
