This Friday and Saturday is the Art of Barbecue on the OU Tulsa campus grounds. There are a lot of teams and sponsors.
Unfortunately for some reason there has been NO marketing for the event this year.
In the past it's been a huge success. I hope people get the word out. I guess the Arts and Humanities Council couldn't get enough media sponsors or something.
Come out and support your favorite team and eat some BBQ!
Taster kits are $10 for all the BBQ and sides you can get your hands on!
Go 3Guys Smokin'
RM,
Aren't you a sponsor of this?
We help them recycle everything and lend them some stuff. We are also involved in the RiverWalk ecofest and the Woody Guthrie festival this weekend.
I appear to goof off all the time, but me and the staff work almost every weekend of the year.
The art of Bar-B-Que is one of the best festivals of the year. I will be wandering around with my family on Friday night.
We'll try to go out with the Fam on friday too, but my company is having a "Western day" party all day in Jenks, and I look really silly in boots.
If you see an out of place cowboy that doesn't know how to walk in heels, that's me.
Gaspar will be the cowboy in drag, check.
come eat bbq or you suck...
Go "Doc's Bar-B-Que"
They have the best non-corporate party out there friday night...
Hell, they've even got the marshall brewing boys out there in the tent...
there might even be some dude sitting there (right this very moment) posting on a laptop via leached wifi...

A cowboy hat is just a ladies party hat turned upside down, and boots have high heels, so I guess you're right!
Want to go camping?
ok, this is a dead serious offer...
anyone willing to come down to the "doc's bar-b-que" tent tomorrow night, 6-12, and ask for a guy named "brian" and tell him their tulsanow screen name and have a photo taken, can eat and drink for free...
the offer is for one plus a guest...
post here if willing...
I will be there.
I will even bring my own bib. Hell, if gaspar is the cowboy, I will be the construction worker. If we can get an Indian, a soldier and a biker dude, we can be the Village People.
"Young man!"
Ok, this is ridiculous. I just heard that many of the ads on the radio failed to mention the location.
I came in this morning to an email box full of people asking when, what, why and where. No one made any mention of it on KRMG this morning. I haven't seen anything on the TV news.
Am I just missing it or have they scaled down on marketing for this event?
Oh my, what a party bruno throws.
First of all, the bar-b-que was outstanding. I had pork riblets and pork ribs, beef brisket, lamb, whole pig (my son thought the pig face was so cool) and chicken.
He had Marshall beer flavors on tap, margaritas by the pitcher for my wife and hundreds of soft drinks and water bottles for the kids.
I bet I saw a hundred families in his tent alone. He put up a big screen and showed movies for the kids when it got dark enough.
King Bruno.
With parties like that, I am your loyal servant.
its a team effort and we're happy to support the AHC...
just wish more people would participate in the peoles' choice...
our motto is "come for the party, stay for the bbq"... we just don't take ourselves too seriously...

Will there be pudding?
Sorry guys, I was eating ribs, well, in a more spectacular locale. Sorry I could not attend, I would have enjoyed Bruno's tent, and his BBQ too, I'm sure. One can never have enough Marshall Beer.
