Title: Flooding
Post by: FranklinTower on June 28, 2008, 03:04:30 PM
How's the Bushy Man gonna handle this one?  Don't see any $2,000 debit cards yet.  No black army helicopters.

I guess the influence of corn-based fuel was too much for them, so they had to blow up some levys in Iowa and Kansas.  Now we have no choice but to fund Bushy's buddies in big Oil!

Strange coinkedink ain't it?

News flash:  Most of the good guys and gals in congress ain't going for it!  No drilling!  Make em pay!  I'll ride my bike!

They had their day!  Oil is dead!

Could it be the privatization of the disaster relief biness at hand?

"If anything, the stories of corruption and incompetence serve to mask this deeper scandal: the rise of a predatory form of disaster capitalism that uses the desperation and fear created by catastrophe to engage in radical social and economic engineering."

This article appeared in the November 19, 2007 edition of The Nation.

"When fires broke out in San Diego County, near the proposed site of the controversial Blackwater West base, the company immediately seized the opportunity to make its case. Blackwater could have been the "tactical operation center for East County fires," said company vice president Brian Bonfiglio. "Can you imagine how much of a benefit it would be if we were operational now?" To show off its capacity, Blackwater has been distributing badly needed food and blankets to people of Potrero, California. "This is something we've always done," Bonfiglio said. "This is what we do." Actually, what Blackwater does, as Iraqis have painfully learned, is not protect entire communities or countries but "protect the principal"--the principal being whoever has paid Blackwater for its guns and gear."

What company will be to disaster relief what Blackwater is to our war? Or will Blackwater be our host for this government responsibility too?

It must be the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy!

They control everything!

Did you know they are listening to your phone calls?

They have figured out a way to listen to your thoughts too, even without getting approval through FISA.

That's why I have my special hat!
