Title: So, I talked to Paul Tay last weekend.
Post by: deinstein on June 13, 2008, 02:06:47 AM
The homer was riding his bike dressed up as Santa Clause riding down Brookside as I was waiting for my trolley ride home.

I holler at him to come over. I asked him why he dressed like Santa Clause, he really doesn't have a response. I tell him I agree we should be more biker friendly and explain some of my ideas.

Call me a fool...he didn't care to listen.

He was too busy saying he need $400 to go to some bike rally in Portland (similar to critical mass)  and then asked if I could spare a dollar.

I told him I only had a card. He said he accepted all the major carriers.

Here's to hoping he was just on some good drugs that night. As he drove off he said he was sick of being banned from here and that I should vote for Obama.

Sweet life, Paul.

He is more than welcome to post here. We have banned him multiple times and he keeps coming back and usually we let him speak his mind until he starts breaking the rules and then we ban him again. We give him more leeway than we probably should.

Let's see he needs to take 412 to I-35 to I-70 to I-25 to I-80 to I-84...Portland!  That shouldn't be to tough for Tay since he likes highways....

I know he has at least two active user ID's.  That's twice as many as anyone else I know (and against TOS policy).  So I'm not sure what his complaint is on that.

And why don't you bike to Portland Paul?  Imagine the good that would come from that (Paul gone for months!).

The big Portland bike rally is 30 days from now and Portland is 2,000 mile away.

If he rides just seventy miles a day, he could get there early.

It would be worth a buck or two to me just to get rid of him for a month or two...

Yeah, but I bet there's internet access at the public libraries there, so not completely rid of him for a month or so.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I think Paul's mind is getting worse.

Today he was blocking the exit off the BA by Hillcrest and flipping drivers off.

Needs more meds, change meds, less meds...something.

Holy obvious, Batman!

One of these days, he's either going to go off the deep end, attack someone and end up in prison (he already has a criminal record, so he's halfway there). Or he's going to p*ss off the wrong driver and he'll become a road pancake.

And I say that with no glee whatsoever in my heart. The guy needs professional help, fast.

Unfortunately he has stopped blogging:
http://pimpthistownvotepaultay.blogspot.com/

It might just be that he hasn't had any real attention for a while.  He quit his job, isn't currently running for any officer, isn't blogging...  guess he needs attention.  I still think a MMA match between Tay and Bikefox would be an awesome fundraiser.  Better yet, we could have them in some sort of bicycle battle... should be painful though.

Thoughts?

He must be a fast rider then, I passed him as I was getting on the BA at 15th toward downtown a few minutes before 8am this morning.  He was over the Lewis bridge riding on the shoulder.

Funny, I wondered if any other TN members had passed him this morning.

You saw santa clause riding a bike late a night in Brookside after a night of drinking.  Sure you did.

I know that's funny, but I saw him last year in the middle of 41st in front of the Promenade riding his bike (in the inside lane, mind you) wearing his Santa suit and he had a big plastic, ummmm, let's just say it looked like a rocket...yeah, that's it.  A rocket.

I was sober.  Although I went home to make sure....

I saw him northbound 169 around 8 a.m., almost in Owasso.  What's in Owasso for him?

I haven't seen Paul in a while. I hear his new thing is collecting kitchen waste from folks in mid-town.  I actually found a lot of his posts entertaining and he did spark a lot of conversation. If he would reasonable follow the rules, I wouldn't really mind him on here. Now in person, I could more easily tolerate him if he would simply trim his nose hair.
