The Rock Cafe in Stroud was destroyed by fire.

I never got to go it, but after watching it featured on Guy's Diner's Drive-ins and Dive's last summer my wife and I talked about going. Unfortunately, we didn't act quick enough.

We didn't either. We were planning to go in June. I hope they rebuild.

I just saw this news. Very sad indeed. They just showed the replay of the Diners and Dive episode last week. Made me think I needed to get over there and check it out myself. Too late. :(

I diverted from the Turnpike on my way home from OKC this evening to take a look at what's left of the cafe. Breaks ones heart.

Glad I ate there for the first and only time last year, as we drove to OKC on route 66. Well worth the price paid.
