Title: What if Clinton pulled a Lieberman
Post by: Hometown on May 14, 2008, 12:42:04 PM
I suspect there are going to be a lot of folks on the right and left that are unhappy with their party's candidate.  In a moment of dwindling hope a thought entered my mind.  What if Clinton pulled a Joe Lieberman and ran as a third party candidate?

You may remember Joe Lieberman pulled a similar stunt and held onto his job.  Now I can't say that Lieberman is very well liked around our house but the thought of Hillary Clinton doing something as wicked as what she has been accused of is intriguing.

Not gonna happen.

She would be a pariah in her Democratic Party forever if she did that. Plus, if she did it, she'd lose.

Right now, she's pinning her slim hopes on a 2012 presidential run. And going third party is no way to do that.

Gary Younge The Guardian, Monday April 28 2008

"The problem is not that Hillary Clinton is still in the race. She has every right to be. It is that she is running the kind of race that she is. Having failed to convince voters of the viability of her own candidacy, she is now committed to proving the unviability of his.

Hillary once said it takes a village to raise a child. Now she seems determined to destroy the village in order to save it."

... absolutely hilarious!

Bill Clinton had spoken w/Dave for about 45 minutes, impressively explaining our economic situation... he mentioned Hillary's positions
2-3 times... and never said the words "Barack Obama." There's the set- up - watch Chris go.
