To be blunt, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Until the Libertarian Party actually gets organized at local levels, it's not going to take over anything. The infrastructure just isn't there.

Also, the Libertarian Party has a credibility problem. For every semi-decent guy like Bob Barr, you've got two or three crackpots. Just imagine a party populated by a batallion of Paul Tays. Just a reminder that this week is National Bike to Work week, and also the start of our very own Bike to Work season, sponsored by INCOG, Tom's Cycles, Soundpony Lounge, and Doubleshot Coffee.

This Friday, May 16th from 7-9 AM, on National Bike to Work Day, commuters are encouraged to ride to work, and if it is convenient, to attend INCOG's Bike to Work Kick-Off. New and experienced commuters traveling by bike are encouraged to stop by on their way to work for coffee and snacks, provided by Doubleshot Coffee Company, and meet other bike commuters at Maple Park near 15th between Madison and Cincinnati (404 E 15th, Tulsa,) on the newly extended Midland Valley Trail. Tom's Bicycles will also be providing a free safety check for bicycles during the event. Of course, we will discuss our “incentives” (aka “prizes”) to be given away to our top commuters. This year, we will not only award the most miles ridden, but also the most days and consecutive days ridden. This will be the first of several events throughout Bike to Work Season, which is from May through September.

Also take a look at our new online Commute Tracker and Calendar, which allows you to track daily commutes using an interactive calendar which automatically logs your miles ridden and or shared, and also allows you to see exactly how much money you've save, how much less fuel you've used, and how much less NOX emissions released by riding or carpooling to work. Wait, assume you feel like leaving Tulsa on any major highway? Nope, not without paying tolls (taxes.) Taxes are getting so ridiculous to the restaurant business that they are no longer including the alcohol tax in the cost of a drink. Suddenly that $2.50 beer they were advertising is now $2.97 because they decided to pass on some more taxes that were formerly hidden.

It isn't that I don't want to support my local community. I just want to be able to spend a little of my own money on myself. Apparently my local community found it more important to build an arena, dig some holes in the river, and move its offices into "a buddy's" empty building. Maybe instead of me paying more taxes the city should learn to do what I have done... Tighten it's belt a couple of notches and learn to live within it's own means for once.

As far as the "at control" leash law, as far as I know, noone has faught a ticket on the grounds that they had their dog "at control". You say it had no toppings, what did you order? Did you specify the toppings you wanted or did you order a speciality pizza with a list of toppings? Or did you just order a plain pizza expecting there to be a grocery list of toppings for free?
