The food was great. I had the chicken/sausage gumbo and a wheat beer. Castleberry is cool in my books. I was surprised that he offered me the Cuban cigar. Was that legal? It smokes so well it must be illegal![Tongue]

I thought the whole cuban cigar thing was very Freudian of you.

I thought a Freudian slip was saying one thing and thinking of your Mother.

Need to schedule another gig at Caz's again soon. They've been serving up good grub for awhile now, but the place is still sort of a secret.

What has happened to Caz's?

I only eat there a couple of times a year but over the last three years their food quality has gone downhill quite a bit.
So much so that after today, I'm not sure if I will return.

Anyone have any idea if they've changed owners, recipes, etc?

Noticed that.  The cleanliness was disconcerting as well.

We've not been back in some time.

Their staff can be hit and miss, but I've never had an issue with the food.
