A lecture by Todd Oppenheimer.  He is the author of “The Flickering Mind: Saving Education from the False Promise of Technology” a book that examines how the essentials of learning have been gradually forgotten in the face of technology. He argues that we should return to the “enlightened basics.” This free lecture will be a presentation of his case.

Sounds promising. I'm a technophile and all technology ever helped me to do was to get through school easier, not really learn more.
