Health tech building starts

TULSA -- Construction on a new 179,000-square-foot building for the Tulsa Technology Center will begin Friday.

The health building will combine most of Tulsa Tech's health-related classes under one roof. Construction on the three-story building will take 18 months. It will house 31 classrooms and 16 labs.

The building is the first of a master plan to replace outdated facilities in the next 10 years. Construction budget for the health building is $31.5 million
