Oklahoma is in the business spotlight today as information is released that Chinese automaker Nanjing, owner of British MG label, plans to build a new factory in Ardmore employing 550 people, a Research and Development center in Norman, and the Headquarters of North American and European operations in Oklahoma City.

This is a very good compliment to Oklahoma's desirability for industries. They were reportedly drawn to Oklahoma by agressive incentives programs and low cost of living. Hopefully more companies will see Nanjing's move to Oklahoma as a hint that maybe their business would thrive here, too.

This is the top story in the business section of the NY Times today, and as I'm writing this they just mentioned it on Good Morning America. Very cool when we see Oklahoma on a front page of a major newspaper and on the national morning shows for good news!
