Author Topic: Questions about Tulsa eye surgery  (Read 2212 times)

I may soon need to have some eye surgeries. My opthalmologist in Oklahoma City says he could do cataract surgery whenever I want, but he says I have a diabetic retinopathy problem that may need to be corrected first.

I have scheduled an appointment with a Tulsa retina specialist to discuss a laser procedure, but before I make any decisions, I just wondered if anybody here knows any reasons to NOT have cataract surgery or a retinopathy laser procedure.

I'm not anxious to have surgery if I can avoid it, but I'm not too keen on going blind either. Right now, the problems don't bother me, and I'm inclined to wait a while.

I'm not asking for names of Tulsa eye specialists; I just want to know whether there is any good reason for waiting a while.

Thanks. I'll be waiting to read your comments ... if I don't go blind first. [:O]
