In New York City, at the mayors' summit on gun crimes, it appears that there were only 2 women mayors among the 15 cities represented: Dallas and Tulsa.

We Okies (and others) criticize Oklahoma often for supposedly being socially backward, but both Tulsa and Oklahoma City elected their first female mayors many years ago.

Sure, we still have a very long way to go, especially in race relations in Tulsa, but sometimes we deserve a little credit, also.
