From the Tulsa World for Monday, April 10, 2006:

By P.J. Lassek

A security officer was stationed at the Mayor's Office in City Hall late Sunday afternoon over issues raised by the removal of public files by an aide to Mayor Bill LaFortune.

"There were concerns raised, so I wanted to document who was coming and going from the office and what items were being brought in and taken out, " Public Works Director Charles Hardt said about his assignment of a security officer to the 11th floor office.

LaFortune said the concern was really "much ado about nothing."

He said the files taken, including one on the controversial airport investigation and one on Citgo, contain information duplicated in other city files.
