Bartlesville article on future "downtown housing."  Full text at:

"The construction comes at a time when new homes are heavily sought for the entire Bartlesville area, but few, perhaps, expected the announcement for the downtown development.

While new home construction appears to be booming in newer areas of the city, officials have worked to secure new housing projects in older, existing neighborhoods - commonly referred to as “in fill housing” - for some time.

“It has been difficult to find a way to encourage in-fill housing to take place in the existing downtown residential area of Bartlesville,” Nikkel said.

The single family homes are expected to range in price from $90,000 to $150,000, and will likely be three bedroom, two bath Bungalow-style homes with a rear-entry garage. Whether the duplexes will be offered for sale or rent has not yet been decided, Nikkel said.

Nikkel said a portion of a finder's fee will be paid to Caldwell Banker-Rader Group of Tulsa in association with the project."
