Last week, gas prices were at about 2.56 a gallon all over town.  Then, after somewhat of a rumored fanfare, the gas prices began to climb until they hit at 3.29.  During this time, news reports indicated that Tulsa was actually above the national average by about .15 a gallon.

The attorney general for our state then announced that his office was going to look into possible price gouging at the pumps.  Shortly after this announcement, almost all of the gas stations in Tulsa lowereed their prices to an average to about 3.05 a gallon.

Was the announcemnt of investigating price gouging and the subsequent price lowering just a coinicidence, or am I becomming conspiracy-minded?
