So that will make 3-4 4+ story buildings with overlapping construction on the N side?

That's pretty cool and will show visitors the area is getting better quickly!

Man! Exciting!!!

Now we just need the rest of Santa Fe Square and The Annex (PAC lot apartment tower) to get moving.

I saw a brick retaining wall in the hole yesterday.  Not sure if it just looked brick and was something they put up, or if they really excavated an old brick wall down there.  The latter would be pretty cool (for some reason), but probably not actually helpful to them.

Update to this project:

Quote
Valley National Bank, In the Raw planning downtown locations
Valley National Bank and In the Raw are among the tenants set for a new multi-story building going up just west of ONEOK Field.

A groundbreaking at 110 N. Elgin Ave. is set for Friday, and the building is expected to open next year.

Valley National Bank’s new downtown branch and executive offices will occupy nearly 22,500 square feet of the 100,000 square-foot, six-story building.

Each floor will have an outdoor terrace with a ballpark view.

Valley National Bank, which opened in 1982, has locations in Tulsa, Bixby, Catoosa, Collinsville, Ketchum, Langley, Oologah and Owasso.

In the Raw will operate a rooftop restaurant at the new building. The sushi bar has locations in Brookside, south Tulsa, Broken Arrow and Oklahoma City.

Other tenants will include BKD Inc. and Summit Financial Group.

The new mixed-use building by the Ross Group is part of $75 million in redevelopment that is planned or under way near the stadium.

Among the projects are a 388-space parking garage that will serve the stadium area and an American Residential Group-backed, 200-unit multifamily complex called The View at 420 E. Archer St.

Already under construction at Archer Street between Detroit and Elgin avenues is a Holiday Inn Express, on which Ross Group is partnering with Promise Hotels.

This latest model is vastly different than original rendering. Nice, but I strongly preferred the earlier sketches. This looks slightly better than a typical office building. The terraces on each floor facing the ballpark are nice and the top looks interesting (They were in original plans).

Nice building, but the original rendering that "won" the development rights was far superior with a great modern/industrial styling. This is the watered down version with plain-jane windows and typical office building paneling.

Also, I'm guessing the empty lot next to it will become the "388-space parking garage that will serve the stadium area" mentioned in the article. That will be a great asset for the area. Would be cool if they can make it look nice or put in retail space on the lower level, but regardless it will make going to the games easier so should help attendance and boost businesses around there. That could even be a good place to park to go to Blue Dome events like Tulsa Tough and the Blue Dome Arts Festival.

It looks like “Block 44” is now the Valley National Bank building.

If they could just do one of side of the garage similar to this one in Columbus Indiana, it would go a long way in my opinion. Not sure which street should have store fronts.

or just completely minimize the entrance/exit space like this one in Fort Worth...

Whatever else folks think of the Cimarex building, it does minimize the parking garage entrance/exit on the ground floor.

Hard to tell, does this project have underground parking?  I see a small surface lot on the north side which would go away with the second phase.

Per the RFP there are two phases:
Phase I
Phase I will consist of the complete civil and utility design of the project, the removal and burial of the overhead
powerlines, and the construction of the five-story office building. The first floor will be retail / commercial, with
floors two through five set for office use.
Phase II
For Phase II, which will mostly be driven by market need, we envision two to three stories of mixed-use space.
We have reviewed both a multifamily component and a mixed-use office development and both would compliment
the success of Phase I.

My goto parking for Oiler games...hell, pretty much for any BOK Center event (parked there...for free mind you...for U2 and Foo Fighters).

I believe the new parking garage is going to go off of Elgin right next to the tracks (and behind the new hotel on Archer).  You can kind of see it in this rendering:

But I can't find an article specifically saying so.

Makes sense, Ross Group is building that project as well.  Curious if the garage will extend all the way to Elgin along the tracks which would allow for easier access to this building and the ballpark.

The rooftop ITR may end up having one of the best skyline views in Tulsa.
