I enjoyed the first game. I sat in section 104 near the edge of the field near a corner.

The crowd was great. 8335 people attended in a facility designed to hold 7600.

I was in 105. I saw Blake Ewing was in 1 section over (I think it was 106, might have been 104 with the other cool people).

Great time. The OKC fan club was really into it, they unfurled a banner that read: "I though you guys died in the 1980s." Which I thought was pretty good smack. Played at a high level.

Overall, a very good crowd. Good promos. The venue handled 8000+ with no real problems (lines weren't bad, getting out was quick, etc.). The Roustabouts fan club for Tulsa needs to up their game a bit!  It was hard to hear them most of the game.  I'm also not a huge fan of the venue for soccer - it worked just fine, my complain is more that it was odd. Also, at Skelly Field and Boone Pickens in Stillwater you are right on top of the action, at OneOK Field for baseball you are on top of them - when configured for soccer the sidelines (usually best seats) are really offset. Again, I don't think it really effects the viewing, just doesn't feel as much like you are "in the game."

Hope it catches on and continues to go strong.  Hope the Athletics hold on as a club team too, those games are very fun.

I think 104 and 105 are the best seats for me. My son is a goalie and I like being close. Those sections were also excellent for being real close to the corner kicks.

On Thursday I will be in section 102. They have decals for the first 1,500 fans and two dollar beverages (including 16 oz beers) all night. Thirsty Thursdays!

Tulsa Soccer Show podcast said they had inside information that a soccer stadium is coming downtown from a "good source."

10,000 initial seat count with the ability to expand.
Two potential locations.
Horseshoe shape.
Removable sod for other events.

Would be a great investment for Tulsa.  You have a metro population that now exceeds 1 million with a positive growth trend.

My question, why start with 10,000-seat?   Go ahead and build a 20,000-seat stadium so that you're poised to obtain an MLS franchise.  A stadium investment for the future would be wise,  Don't short sell your potential; OKC didn't undersell its potential to support an NBA franchise.

Oklahoma's 2 major cities had great opening USL numbers; Tulsa's sellout was 8,335 and OKC had 6,752 (7,500) in its weather delayed 2-1 victory over Seattle Sounders FC 2 opener.

Not a great analogy. OKC built the facilities for the Thunder after getting the franchise. The Ford Center was not up to NBA specs at the time.

I have been to three of the first four games and like the product.

I was part of a company party up on the Margaritaville Deck (Third Base side).

They have a full buffet and great location to watch the games for $30 a person with a minimum of 75 people.

Presumably it's not this...

Three points at Orange County. Roughnecks have now beaten the two best teams in the league!
