But, but, but don't  you understand that their ignorance coupled with some internet anecdotes and a blog post from an anti-vax website is superior to a century of proven effectiveness and a doctor who actually studied medicine?

There's  a balance point between individual rights and our more generalized expectation of disease prevention through public health ptrograms. We haven't  found it yet.
