Yea, couldn't resist making a comment in support of our fair city.  While many of the negative comments may be true... "in a fashion" they come from a misunderstanding of the facts on the ground and are often overblown and over exaggerated.  Yes, we have our faults, but imho we also have some great positives and a lot of people working to make things better.

Super low/weird standard for "Luxury" as well.

Apparently a "luxury" apartment is one with
  • Air conditioning
  • Laundry Facility (doesn't even have to be in-apt washer/dryer)
  • Dishwasher
  • Fitness Center
  • Pet Friendly

Yes, we consider that low, but compare prices to units in Seattle, LA, and New York with those same simple amenities, and WOW!  $$$$$$$
