I took some photos of the Cat 4, Kids, and Masters 50+ races this morning.  They're on my Google+ album.  I'm planning to return in about an hour to shoot the Pro/1/2 race.  These are smallish JPEGs, but if anyone is interested in a copy, I have the RAW files too.

...and in case you're wondering...I was standing safely behind those hay bales to the left while the racers passed a few feet away.

Thanks for the photos!

Did I get any photos of you?

I gorfed the Pro/1/2 shots by leaving my neutral density filter attached to the lens. I'd used it to get some panning shots that would produce blur, got distracted, and forgot to remove it. It's a cheapie from eBay and it has a color cast that I don't like.  ND filters aren't supposed to change the color.  That's what I get for trying to save some money.

This evening I used it to take a couple of photos of a color checker.  With that as a reference, I may be able to add some color correction.

There are some useable shots of the Pro/1/2, but I'm tired.  They'll have to wait for tomorrow.

Jon Ray, owner of 360 Sports and organizer of the race, said that turnout was better this year especially since it was the state championship.  The race may have brought hotel and restaurant business to town, so that's a plus too.
