Since there is a thread on abstinence...

You remember those days of way back...when you could go into a restaurant...and come out smelling like you'd smoked a carton of Lucky Strikes?  I don't think I'm missing those days too much.

I had the opportunity to go to a couple of sporting events recently.  A Drillers game...and a Talons game.

Something I found a little irritating about the Drillers game...is that we (myself, daughter, wife) were pretty much surrounded by a beergarten of drunken boobs.  It smelled like a brewery.  Occassionally...we'd even get the chance to nab some second hand smoke.

On the Talons game...the problem was a little less beer...and a little more airhorns.  It was freakin loud anyway...and we were sitting right behind 3 bozos...each with their own airhorn (when they ran out, they pulled up new cans from somewhere)...and they also had an arsenal of pans w/hammers AND cowbells w/hammers.  Felt a little sorry for the folks in front of them...one dude kept getting blasted in the back of the head.

Now...smoking is prohibited anyway in both facilities...as are airhorns...BUT...since they're not going to enforce the rules...here's my questions....

Why not have a "family-friendly" zone at Drillers Stadium and at the Convention Center?  A place in Maxwell CC/Drillers Stadium, where one could be guaranteed that airhorns/smoking/alcohol were prohibited.
