Underrated super hero Ralph Shortey comes to the rescue of....well, you read it....

Senate Bill 1420, by State Sen. Ralph Shortey (R-Oklahoma City), and State Repres. John Bennett (R-Sallisaw), is a pro-hunting bill that would legalize the use of laser scoping devices for the blind, including disabled veterans and children, when hunting....A physician must certify the person as being disabled, and the person must be permanently statutorily/legally blind as defined by the Social Security Administration, or afflicted with paraplegia or quadriplegia.

Yep...blind people...with guns.  Welcome to Oklahoma.

Our new state motto...

In All Problems Guns Are the Answer

Converted to Latin of course to make it look more sophisticated.

In Omnibus Quaestibus, Explicatiam Arma Sunt, Singulariter Turkeys!

Latin does not have a word for turkey, so I'd suggest adopting 'shortey' as a substitute.

None of his legislation seems to be at face value, like the ban on fetuses as food...

Shortey is a plant. Like Stephen Colbert, he is satirizing the movement. Look at the record:

1. Introduces a bill to ban the use of aborted fetuses in human food.
2. Introduces a bill to submit to the voters the proposition that the Court of Criminal Appeals should be abolished and the Oklahoma Supreme Court not have jurisdiction to review the constitutionality of state legislation.
3. Supports "open carry" legislation because he needs to pack heat to protect himself from turkeys.
5. And now proposes that blind people be allowed to carry firearms.

Just as Colbert does, all he is doing is taking the Right's ideas to their logical extreme, a classic debating technique, with the evident intent to make them look ridiculous.

You really think so?  He's more convincing than Colbert if that's true, but I doubt it.
...and the fetus-food ban seemed to be just another back-door attempt at banning abortion.

Look at how he responds to questions:

Deleted because it didn't do a good job of proving my hypothesis. I don't remember what it was, but it had something to do with courts or something that is more doctrinaire Bircher stuff rather than completely around the bend.
