I went to update driver's license today and had a great conversation with the girl behind the counter. She's playing a role in a movie currently being filmed north of Skiatook right now at Candy Creek Ranch. This upcoming weekend is the last week of filming and they hope to take it to Sundance. The film is called "The Brick House" and was described to me as a more grown-up version of The Three Little Pigs. It sounded pretty cool. Anyway, their website is here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pocketfullofallstars/the-brick-house-a-feature-film/posts. They've been blogging about their experience. I haven't read much of it, but I hope they come back to do more projects in Oklahoma (the directors/producers/whatever are not from here).

And here's their Facebook:

The last film I remember being filmed in/around Skiatook was Eye of God, and before that was The Outsiders. Pretty cool!
