Maybe next time.  She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed was in the mood for a hamburger, too.

Mom's Diner

Quality of Food (1-5): 4.5
Menu/Food Options (1-5):3
Quality of Service (1-5):4
Atmosphere (1-5):3
Overall Rating (1-5): 4
Price ($-$$$$$): $$
What makes this restaurant unique: They serve breakfast all day.  However their day is 6am to 3pm.   Great food!  I have ate there four times now,  twice for lunch and twice for breakfast.   Thursday's lunch special is meatloaf, the servings are the size of mini loafs of bread, very tasty too.    Omelets were cooked perfect.  My wife loves their Belgium Waffles and her bacon was cooked perfectly, she is picky about her bacon and they do it right.  A family run place, on Saturdays their boys are there busing tables.   I highly recommend you stop by.

Can either of you tell me if Legends BBQ is worth the drive out to Owasso?

I'm not crazy about Legends, especially when they have live entertainment on Friday or Saturday evening.  The food is OK but possibly over priced. I prefer Trail's End, formerly Bad Brad's, formerly Freeman's.  It's kinda down home.

You have other possibilities too, like Rib Crib or some coach's place.  I've had the ribs in Tavin's too, which is an odd Thai/barbecue/Indian place.

Thought it might have been about "Mom's" the old bar on Admiral....

but I think it has been gone a while.

No, Legends is not worth the drive.   I agree with Ed's assessment I prefer Trails End for Bar B Que in Owasso too.   Tavins is a great place to eat.   By Indian, Ed mean's American Indian.
Another good Owasso place to eat is El Fogon's also at German Corner.   Great Mexican food.

I've known David Chappell for years and thought it might be fun to head that way for lunch one day.  Considering a round trip drive is an hour from my office, that means a two hour commitment.  Too much good BBQ around here to waste 1/4 of my work day over mediocre BBQ.

Yep, used to race sprint cars had a concrete company, cabling company.  Great example of what a firefighter can do to make money in his spare time.

I live closer to Legends & I drive past it to dine at Trails End.  Ribs are consistenly perfect & the all you can eat catfish on Friday nights is a bonus.

That's true.  The catfish is a favorite of She-Who_must-Be-Obeyed.

On a side note, the fish sandwich at the Boomerang Diner is good, too.  Mine was possibly over cooked a little, but if you like huge planks of fish on a kaiser roll, it's all good.  I can't speak for the burgers, though, 'cause I can't eat beef.

No.

And we tried Mom's a week ago.  Disappointment.
