Bill Martinson Wins The District 5 Seat On The Tulsa City Council
(KOTV)

 Voters in Tulsa city council’s district 5 have chosen a new city councilor. Bill Martinson finished in a close one, winning by just 11 votes over Andy Phillips.

District 5 includes an area in east and central Tulsa. In all, there were 7 candidates on the ballot. Just under 20 percent of the voters in the district turned out for Tuesday's election.

This was a winner take all election, which means there will be no runoff.

Andy Phillips 1,118 28.64%
Bill Martinson 1,129 28.93%
Charlotte Harer 1,055 27.03%
David Weaver 131 3.36%
Nancy Jackson 23 .59%
