See, if anyone ever wonders why cities so long to have, and need, us "creative class" types around, you now have a perfect example as to why.  Cool

Then why do cities have to work so hard to get and retain them?  Where are they hiding?  Walden Pond?

(Sorry, had to do it.  Grin)

okay so how do I make new topic?

I am not a spammer.

here is a copy of the TOS that I will abide by:

And I expect this policy to be enforced unilaterally, forum-wide.

I don't have time to fool around with the typical noob-run local forum bs.

I am a Tulsa business owner, Oklahoma strong and proud.  We have employed anywhere from 30 to 100 Tulsans annually, over the past 50 years.

My IT department daily monitors, and bounces, hackers trying to access information that is exponentially more sensitive than the database that runs this forum, so I have no time for your algorithms of thread-replies against temporal membership.

Grant me posting access now.

I will check back in one week. Thank you for your consideration.

I guess an exception can be made....you know, since you were so friendly.

I'm betting it's all contrived.  But then again... Oklahoma DID pass 'right to work'....

Man, I wish this week would hurry up and get over.  This is gonna be fun.

Going to go out on a ledge here and venture to guess we'll never hear from this poster again.

My guess is that your ledge is no higher than an ordinary curb by the street.

That is good to hear, my Tulsa friend.

Now, being that I sense a little sarcasm there, can anyone tell me exactly what the algorithm is for number of posts v. temporal mambership?

I might stick around.  I am pleased to see the amount of activity here.  Plus, I see we have Foo Fighters fans here. And some guys with a sense of humor, in addition to the standard pot-calling-the-kettle-black types.

Seems like a good mix. :thu:......how do I make a "thumbs up" smiley? :idk:......how do I make a "i don't know" smiley? Cheesy  there, that one worked.

Also, just p.s., I think the guy that told me to fu(k off might be in violation of the TOS there.

The Artist suffers from Tourette's.  Due to the ADA act we can't boot him.  But you should see his inspired work when he's got the twitch really bad.  I believe you have to have five posts.  Three more and you can start your own topic.  Or you can simply do what some of our ADHD posters do and simply disrupt a perfectly cogent topic with something entirely unrelated you need to get off your spleen.

Welcome!

Foo Fighters?  Naw,...this is Johnny Winter and Woody Guthrie territory.

Violation of TOS?  Nope.  He was just reminding of the requirements for consent of the king.

Here is a posting place that, by definition, actually requires topic drift and thread hijack.  Feel free.

Well, not the apology one could have hoped for, but at least the second post sounded much nicer than that first blunt, harsh and demanding "versus the usual friendly hello and introduction" post did  (and perhaps you didn't even register that it did come across that way).

  Regardless,,,,

 Welcome to the Forum!  Cool

Am interested to see what your first thread is about.

Don't let him off so easy, Artist!!

He is still that way in background mode, haranguing employees, running them into the ground....they can't get back in his face to get him to back off.  We must be their proxy in the fight for truth, justice, and the American Way!
