Some stats...

TulsaNow only has 450 different people who have posted during the last year, but usually average about 5 lurkers per poster at any given moment in time. I think that the forum has probably only about 10,000 unique users a year. There is on average about 13,000 page views per day.

I am currently buying two banner ads from TulsaNow. They rotate every times someone reads a page and there are a total of five current ads. That means I am getting 40% of 13,000 or 5,200 ad views per day. Because I paid for a six month contract, each ad is costing me $1.31 per day. That works out to be less than a tenth of a penny per impression.

I also know who I am reaching. By personal conversations, I know we have doctors, lawyers, business owners, elected officials, media and creative types on every day. It is a good demographic for me to reach with my messages.

Absolutely!  Wink

Well, I wish you would tell that family member to get the drinks fixed.  Or get rid of those machines and put in normal fountains.  It is getting embarrassing to take people there, have a wonderful pizza experience, then get those lousy soft drinks.  And the one in BA is even using the 5 gallon boxes, so I know it's not all because of the "special" mix cartridges....  (I saw them changing two boxes - under the counter, just to the right of the Coke machine.)

Went with 3 other people this last weekend to BA.  Went with 2 others last weekend to south Memorial.  I haven't tried the soft drinks for quite a few months, so decided to give it another try...both about the same.  Both not good.  From now on, I will stop at McDonald's to get drinks before coming to get pizza.

As for the pizza - everyone raved about that - as always... nobody thought much of the drinks.  So I was chosen as "designated bitc$er" for the group.

I'll pass that on.  I haven't really heard anyone complain about the drinks, except that it can get a little slow when folks are getting creative with wild combinations.  I love the freestyles, even when I get just a diet coke.  They seem to have a lot more carbonization than regular machines and I like to burp!  Grin

There may be something to that rumor.

Still wrong.

As generic as McDonald drinks are, when even they are better, then that's a problem.

Don't mind the waits in line - the machine IS that much 'fun'...just the mix has always been wrong.

I'm sure we could arrange that if they'll buy some Ads.

I got SPAM for Christmas.  Literally, a 7 oz (net wt) can of SPAM Classic.  Mom saw it and couldn't resist.
Pretty funny.

I love spam.  Sliced, fried in a pan on wheat with mustard.
