I was reading a news article and happened to notice that "Nancy Pelosi" had almost all the letters to spell APOCALYPSE. But not entirely. However, add her middle name - Patricia - and you can spell APOCALYPSE CANTINA. (OK so there's an R left over...I still found it interesting.)

Sounds like a band name.

Han shot first!
No, Greedo shot first!

Sorry, couldn't help it.  The 'Cantina' reference did it.

Staying on topic is sort of like that old childhood game we used to call "gossip."  A large group of kids/people, and the first one whispers something to the person next to him, the second one whispers the same to the third, and so on down the line.   By the time the last person hears the message, it is totally different and unrelated to the original message.

Sometimes it's fun/easy to answer a slightly off topic answer with something even more slightly off topic and so on.  Eventually the whole thread has changed with no deliberate intention to do it.

There was a colloquialism used during the depression that referred to the fact that so many couldn't afford to buy meat.  Talking about a big steaming pot of homemade depression stew; "dig deep, puppy in the bottom..."

I don’t share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently.  I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they are not alone.
