One of our friends tipped me off Zimmy was coming over the weekend. I might actually go this time. Why don't you buy Conan a ducat?

Tonight we will most likely have our first frost.  A little bit early too.  Cover you plants you want to save.

It was a good night at the Brady! The band sizzled....Bob dazzled...

The poet laureate of rock and roll and a Saturday night to boot...but no sell out. Last time BOB plays Tulsa.

Bob Dylan
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Brady Theater
October 24, 2009
“The Brady Bunch”
Taper: V4TX
DPA 4061>Sony D100 DAT>Sony CDRW66>CDR>EAC>FLAC
Disc 1
1. intro
2. Gonna Change My Way Of Thinking (Bob on keyboard)
3. The Man In Me (Bob center stage on harp)
4. Beyond Here Lies Nothin' (Bob on keyboard)
5. The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll (Bob on keyboard)
6. Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum (Bob on keyboard then center stage on harp)
7. This Dream Of You (Bob center stage on harp)
8. Cold Irons Bound (Bob center stage on harp)
9. Po' Boy (Bob on keyboard)
10. Honest With Me (Bob on keyboard)
11. I Feel A Change Comin' On (Bob on keyboard)

Disc 2
1. Highway 61 Revisited (Bob on keyboard)
2. Workingman's Blues #2 (Bob center stage on harp)
3. Thunder On The Mountain (Bob on keyboard)
4. Ballad Of A Thin Man (Bob center stage on harp)

5) encore
6. Like A Rolling Stone (Bob on keyboard)
7. band intro
8. Jolene (Bob on keyboard)
9. All Along The Watchtower (Bob on keyboard)

"Pretty good recording from the first section under the balcony. Bit of a rumble in the bass and Charlie’s guitar is low in the mix at times, but everything else sounds good. I had the fortune of seeing Charlie join Bob in Round Rock, and then see a show without Charlie later in the week. There was no question that Charlie lit a fire under Bob. Don’t get me wrong, I liked Denny. The Stubbs Austin 2006 show was on of the finest performances by a guitarist I’ve ever seen. However, for whatever reasons the shows had gotten a little too low key in my opinion. Well there were only a couple of months, a handful of shows, and a few hundred miles separating Tulsa from my last show in Grand Prairie, but these shows were worlds apart. I have never seen Bob and the band smile and laugh so much. This rivals the three show House of Blues Dallas run. It was pure greatness in a great historic venue. I urge anyone to attend a show in the Brady by any artist you have an interest in. Tulsa needs to be embarrassed they did not sell it out. What else was going on in Tulsa on this night? The college football. team played earlier in the week. Glad I was there. Tracks done on the fly so they may not be perfect. Enjoy. "

Very myopic.

Oktoberfest had perfect weather and huge crowds. The Symphony was playing. It was opening night for the hockey team. Halloween parties all over town.

Dylan was here last year and this year was charging $50 and $60 a ticket for a show at the Brady.

Don't blame Tulsa. Dylan picked a bad night, the wrong venue and tried to charge too much money.

The Oilers actually put an announced 9040 in the seats at the BOK, so I'm sure that siphoned off too.

While I respect Bob and all he's done, never been my thing.  He's like Ozzy in reverse.  You can't understand a damn thing he sings but he speaks just fine.  Ozzy, sings just fine but you can't understand a word he says.

I'm more embarrassed that Bob Dylan continues to sell tickets for ungodly prices when his voice sounds like it's been run over by a truck. Bob is a great songwriter, but he has no business being near a microphone.

If you're going to sound like a hobo who's fallen off the train a few too many times, tour as a solo act and don't charge so dang much money.
