Woodland Hills Mall and Tulsa's own Breast Impressions, Inc, are teaming up to Kickoff Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Saturday, October 3, 2009 10:00 a.m. will begin a month long focus on Breast Cancer Awareness at Woodland Hills Mall, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Woodland Hills has teamed up with Breast Impressions of Tulsa to hold several events.

On display throughout the mall October 3 – 25th! Twenty- nine Tulsa business leaders and celebrities have been cast this year to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Saturday October 3:
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
* Eastern Oklahoma Girl Scouts at each entrance will give Pink Ribbons to mall visitors.
* Breast Cancer Organizations and Clinic in Northeastern Oklahoma will have displays and information for the public.

1 p.m.
* Winner of the Eastern Oklahoma Girl Scouts "Breast Cancer Awareness" Poster contest will be announced and Grand prize provided by Woodland Hills Mall will be awarded to the winning troop. The top 20 posters will remain on display throughout the month of October.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
* State and City Government Leaders show Pink Ribbon Support – Tulsa and surrounding communities. Senator Judy Eason McIntyre, a breast cancer survivor has invited her colleagues and City level officials to come and visit with their constituents and share their concern about breast cancer in Oklahoma.

2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
* A panel discussion of Tulsa medical experts in breast care health will share the latest information with regard to screening and treatment and reconstruction.  Panelist include Doctors in Radiology, Oncology, Breast Surgery and Breast reconstruction.  They welcome questions from those in the audience.

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
* Sparkle the breast cancer survivor boxer will be in her "kissing booth".  Smooch a Pooch for $1 and help support Breast Impressions who donates breast casting kits to women worldwide wanting to make a memory prior to surgery.
