Even for the World, this goes beyond mere farce to the truly sublime. How Ken Neal and the editorial staff wrote this garbage with a straight face, I have no idea.

And I quote:

Unless many of Tulsa's historic downtown buildings are not put to alternate use, such as for residential properties, they will eventually fall into disrepair and stand vacant, which does no one any good.

Tulsa's old oil-boom buildings are beautiful. Their architecture is part of Tulsa's rich heritage.

This from an outfit in the process of tearing down the 1928 Art Deco headquarters building of the Skelly Oil Company, partially designed by world-famous architect Bruce Goff, for a surface parking lot. But only after turning down a buyer who wanted to purchase the Skelly and convert it to residential units... not because his offer wasn't fair, but because they weren't interested in selling at any price. Even a plea from the Mayor's Office to the Lortons wouldn't budge them an inch.

FILTHY HYPOCRITES.

Newspaper, heal thyself.
