I've heard the ArtReach (Urban Fine Arts Outreach) program is having funding problems and the program may be in jeopardy of ending. Anyone got the scoop?

It would be a terrible shame and a huge loss if Tulsa lost this program, IMO.

FWIW, the article you linked states it's serving 1000 students for 36 hours over three years and plans to double it.

...sounds a bit less than shutting down to me.

I don't know, but I always had the impression these kinds of museum 'field trips' were paid for by TPS budgets.

This program sounds like an extended classroom environment, but guessing it really is more like the old 'field trips' we did when I was in TPS as a youngster.

36 hours over three years (an hour a month, basically) for 1000 kids is, what, 10% of those that age in school?
