The fact that the world has run pieces on the ethics violation should be a red flag as to the fact that something is rather amiss.

So a citizen files a complaint with a hotline. After the complaint is typed up, the citizen does not see it to verify that it is indeed what they submitted. The (garbled)complaint gets submitted by said hotline to whom? To the council! Right - anyone see a problem here. The council is suppose to police itself - like the fox guarding the hen house. Of course they weren't going to follow thru with the complaint. The fact that Gomez got his cronies from his neighborhood to stand up against Terrace View in support of a Credit Union that the residents of Terrace View did not want and were very vocal about, is rather, well - not nice. Gomez turned his back on Terrace Veiw - two neighborhoods in his own district.

Do we see a pattern?

Anyone find it interesting that the same fellow involved with renting out foreclosed homes is one of Gomez's cronies?

Read the complaint.

Probably has a lot to do with the fact that the person filing the complaint admitted it was fabricated, but went to the media with it first and it was reported. Willfully spreading lies about elected officials typically gets you in the paper.

Might also get you a lawsuit; oh wait, that might get you in the paper as well...

Have you read the report that was sent to the city by the Ethics Hot Line?

They the Ethics Hot LINE really screwed it up.  I have and It is very flawed in the matter that Ethics Hot Line typed it up.

They combined sentences and names.

I have read the report and it is a shame that the ethics hot line did a discredit to him and the councilors and to us the Citizens of Tulsa .

Also I have learned that Mr. Atkins did not have a chance to proof the document at all or talk to the CHAIR of the ethics committee. They refused to talk with him.

The council based their ethics complaint on a FLAWED document.

If Mr. Atkins was asked if the Document was true in the matter as it was typed By the Ethics Hot Line People, he would of had to answer NO  because of all the flaws.

If he answered yes he would be lying.

SO again it is a matter of thinking that we know the WHOLE story or KNOWING the facts of the whole story.

Really, without having seen, or heard, the original complaint, how would anyone know that it was "flawed"? We just have to take your word for it. If you were the one who submitted it, considering your grammar deficiencies, one could understand how it could be garbled.
