Builder To Debut Certified Green Home

What a joke.

". . . certified 'Green' by the National Association of Homebuilders."

That's like a henhouse that's "certified a 'Fox-Proof' by the National Association of Foxes (NAOF)."

Maybe they are going to paint the home a green color.

First 'Green' home?  Really?

Didn't Ch. 6 cover provide quite a bit of coverage on the NINE project near Cherry St?  Have they forgotten already...

Maybe NINE's LEED Platinum rating goes beyond 'Green' to a whole other color.

Whoever moves in there will probably be another example of being "green" without actually changing any part of their daily lifestyle. What's the point of a "green" house in a sprawling subdivision in BA?

Isn't it "greener" to live in a drafty old place on Cherry Street, where you can walk and take the bus places rather than driving 10 miles in your SUV every time you leave your house?

All this "green" marketing makes me violently ill.

Going Green certainly has a lot more to it than buying a house that has "you know..that stuff" installed. Try walking or biking for short trips to the store or put your kids on the bus to school, recycle, stop putting yard waste on the curb, seal around your windows and doors, turn off a light.
