Though I will likely never vote GOP in Tulsa County again, and was furious with McCain for the Amnesty Bill - I actually was inspired by his speech at the RNC. His motives, means, and direction are clear and unwavering and if someone was on the fence I cannot see how that presentation would not have moved them from one side to the other. I did not know he had it in him.
For a minute, for the first time in a long time, I actually felt like this guy really meant what he said and would not screw us. That was prettay kewl.

Very impressive speech, despite the premeditated disruptions staged by the Obama supporters. His description of his experiences in the Hanoi torture chambers which caused his epiphany toward COUNTRY vs. Self-centeredness was inspirational. He also had some very good ideas about Educational reform. The militant school teachers union are sharpening their knives this a.m.........Probably requiring their students to "volunteer" to put our Obama-Biden campaign signs for extra credit.... [}:)] |

The entire campaign, even his foes in the Senate have admitted he's a man of his word and that his integrity is un-impeachable. Those comments definitely helped make him more believable.
One year ago, I'd have never thought he'd galvanize the party. I'm glad his speech appears to have even over-shadowed Gov. Palin's speech. No, he's not the most eloquent speaker on the trail, but he's got a true belief for America.

Uh, a true belief in the Military Industrial Complex and not much else......certainly not the unemployed, uninsured, and uneducated (despite them being his main constituency). |

Give him credit, I enjoyed his speech. He thinks on his feet too: "my friends, don't be distracted by the static and ground noise"

I was very impressed by McCain last night. He did a good job explaining his background and his vision for America.
Some of his statements were pure rubbish, but that is to be expected.
"We're going to help workers who've lost a job that won't come back find a new one that won't go away."
It is a stupid line, but McCain said it well and the audience applauded on cue.

RM, it was hard enough putting up with your one foot on one side one on the other side antics during the primary. Please don't put us through your routine again. It's shameful and lacks integrity. We all know you're a closet repiglican...and I don't give a hoot how you are registered to vote. |
