I am willing to spend a little bit more to have a better town in which to live.
You're assuming just because you are paying higher and higher tax rates that the City of Tulsa will ACTUALLY be better?
See a mental health professional or a Libertarian advisor ASAP. You need help.
After counseling, then if you still feel you are not taxed enough, send your additional voluntary contribution to the following address:
Tax-Me-More Foundation
c/o Mayor Kathy Taylor
New City Hall
Formerly One Technology Center
Shadow of the BOK Tower
Tulsa OK 74101
She'll really appreciate it.

RM never made that connection, although if you believe Tulsa is going to get better by NOT spending any money, I can help find you a mental health professional.
You are making a bit of mischaracterization of my remarks.
I did NOT say we should not spend ANY money.
I said "You're assuming just because you are paying higher and higher tax rates that the City of Tulsa will ACTUALLY be better?"
Very different. Of course, a city has to pay to maintain infrastructure, police, and fire.
That's all, really.
A Convention Center, an Arena and a Stadium are faddish diversions of tax revenue.
All of which require a large claim on the Operating budget of the city.
Maybe a reason why street maintenance is sooooooo bad?
And, the police car take-home policy?
And, the Fire Department using 30-ton fire trucks as EMT response vehicles?
And, leaving all the City office lights burning in OTC 24x7?
