You may remember that Tulsa was recently named a "Preserve America" community...  

If you want to learn more about the Preserve America designation and what it means to Tulsa, there's going to be a press conference on Thursday, Aug 21 at 10:15 AM in the Philtower Lobby.  

Mayor Taylor and Dr. Bob Blackburn will officially  announce Tulsa's designation as a Preserve America community and talk about joint preservation efforts in Tulsa.  

The goals of the Preserve America initiative are: "greater shared knowledge about the nation’s past, strengthened regional identities and local pride, increased local participation in preserving the country’s cultural and natural heritage assets, and support for the economic vitality of our communities."

Basically, it will open up some grant/financial opportunities to help with Tulsa's preservation and heritage tourism efforts.  Learn more at:
