The former Crown BMW/Buick auto dealership building at 4444 S. Sheridan Ave. has sold to Hickory House Properties LLC for $3.6 million. The seller was CARS-DB4 LP, a Delaware limited partnership.

The property, which includes a 63,500-SF building on 8.16 acres, will be renovated and converted into Oklahoma Technical College, specializing in the training of automobile service specialties including service managers and mechanics, diesel mechanics, boat and motorcycle mechanics.

The new owner currently owns and operates Tulsa’s Community Care College and Clary Sage Beauty College.

Cricket Kingham with Tooman Partners LLC represented the buyer in the transaction, which was completed on May 22, 2008.

That sounds like a good repurposing of that building.  Better than tearing it down and turning that property into a parking lot.
