I made the match last week and it was electric. I couldn't make it last night but was checking the game constantly. Must have been BANANAS energy. And now we're hosting the national finals. I don't think it's really hit people yet what a huge deal this is, especially if we pull out a W for the national championship.

Give the people a soccer-specific stadium! Now is the time to announce.

Man, if there was every time for ownership to announce plans- it'd be now. City is rallying around the team in a big way.

FC Tulsa dominates and wins 3-0 to win the West Conference Championship. Huge crowd, had to been near 9,000.. over capacity.

Quote from: Tulsan on November 02, 2025, 09:12:30 PMMy understanding is that the Crafts are actively working on a downtown stadium plan, most likely at the Nordam site currently owned by the Snyder family (owners of the Mayo).  This site has been identified in the Downtown Tulsa Partnership's Strategic Plan for the past year.  https://downtowntulsa.com/doing-business/studies-and-plans

The Craft family is in a position to privately finance the construction by pre-funding a TIF if they choose--they would be paid back through this mechanism with the incremental sales tax revenue generated.  This would not have to go to voters.  They could also leverage the existing Stadium Improvement District that was used to build ONEOK Field. Ideally there would be similar mixed-use development in the East Village area.

This is great to hear! I know much of the strategic plan is visionary, so funding is still the driving force behind making any of it reality. I certainly hope this can take shape very soon.

Setting jealousy aside, this is just the way sports franchises work. I'm thankful that the family is choosing to invest its money into this team and creating a competitive side for Tulsa to support!

ONEOK capacity for soccer is 7833. Gate last night for the playoff win was 7,917 attendees. FC Tulsa hosting conference finals next Saturday.

Bodes well for the future.

I hadn't seen this plan - really interesting, thanks for sharing.

Would be cool if the stadium on could spur some development on the east side of downtown.

Ha, yeah. The playoffs are a nice proof of concept too. 7600 in attendance last Saturday, they're on their way to selling out ONEOK.

Quote from: ComeOnBenjals on November 01, 2025, 09:59:37 PMGreat win tonight! was there for a bit, huge crowd!

Would be a tremendous shame if OKC times their stadium perfectly while FC Tulsa is left out of the new league.

Great game indeed! Record crowd too.

It looks to be a certainty though that OKC will be ready to go for a USL expansion slot.   Would be amazing if we could join the new league at the same time. We have so much more tradition up here it's not even close.
