Er . . . do we even HAVE a monthly get together?  

So I missed last week's happy hour at Caz's, but I'd still love the chance to meet one or more of you and perhaps buy you the beer of your choice, so long as it is the cheapest in the house and I'm only on the hook for one.  Or maybe we can do pitchers?  Whatever.  Did I say cheap?  I meant CHEAP.

So who usually sets these things up?  Recyclemichael, do you keep the Forum social calendar or what? Perhaps we need a show of hands.  Who would be in for another get together  . . . say, the end of the month?

*raises both hands*

Michael usually pushes it. Most meetings are at lunch and on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

We haven't done cheap for a while, but I am with you.

I propose we go to the Mazzio's Pizza place downtown. It is at 11th and Elgin in front of the Home Depot. Lunch is $5.29 and includes salad bar, pizza and assorted other baked items.

I also propose that we do it early in the month for a change. I could do lunch on Thursday, the 10th of January. Does that work for anybody else?

Works for me. If we go early, we can grab a nice spot in the back room.

I can clock out for a long lunch that day and meet you there about 11:15. I can stay till 1:00.

Everybody come and find us. Pay for your own lunch, get a plate of food from the buffet and head toward the back. We will be either in the the back room or at some tables in the back window.

We can plan a happy hour get together later in the month.

This should allow people to came by and go whenever they want and not stick me with the bill.

Recyclemichael, I would also like a pony for my birthday.  It should be a small pony, like a Shetland, but not a Shetland, and it should be brown with white spots and it should be called "Spot," and I would like a miniature saddle and a miniature bridle and a miniature cart it can pull so I can put the neighborhood children in it and pull them around and charge them a dollar for each ride, and then I can get rich and buy a new stadium downtown for the Drillers and a shiny hotel to go next to it.

Also, can you solve the Isreali-Palestinian crisis?

Not that I would recognize anyone - so I'd be the guy sitting all along looking sad.

BUT... as always I will try to make it.  And likely fail.  Work sucks.  If anyone is independently wealthy and wants to support my sloth-like natural behavior I'd appreciate it (or even dependently wealthy).

Yes...we said Mazzio's on Eleventh street  on the tenth of January.

I unfortunately have another meeting in my office now. I plan to be at Mazzio's for only a few minutes picking up pizza for all the folks coming to my office.

The rest of you can carry on without me just fine.

Today!

I've got a noon meeting, not sure if I will be able to get there or not.  I'm easy to spot, lots of tie-die, haven't bathed in weeks, and I smell like patchouli and burning rope.

I will be there from like 11:00 till 11:20.

I will get my pizza to go.

Just after 1:00 is my usual lunch break. 11:00 would be a late breakfast lol. I wouldnt get much work done if I ate lunch that early and couldnt handle the second half of day being 4 hours long. I like a long first half and a short second half. Putting in a 3 hour burst of hard work after lunch seems to fit better. 4 hours and that last hour draaaaaaaaaaags on forever in agony. I dont feel that efficient, real, work is getting done.

Nice to meet two of our new posters.  Thanks for coming We Vs Us & Dayzella. These are great opportunities to step out from behind the screen and get to know each other.

If I took my lunch break at 1, I'd only work an hour and a half after lunch.
