This is pretty exciting... even if it is Michael Sager.
He wants the 1st floor to be a neighborhood grocery type store.

I think Michael Sager is a good guy. He cares a lot about his investments, but he is always willing to help his neighbors.

I have a warehouse located next to these new lofts that I use to store recycling bins and related supplies. I fixed up my building twelve years ago and have been waiting for the neighborhood to improve. It will be nice to have residential neighbors...

Congrats... To The Man...!

Now if you could just do the market on a slightly larger scale...

You do want everyone that will want to shop there to be able to fit right..?

This is great news for Tulsa. These types of investments pay off huge for any downtown area as a whole in the long run. I wonder how much the lofts will go for? In four or five years, we may be moving to Tulsa and I'd like to move downtown into just this type of place.

These are supposed to rent for $1 sq/ft.

I've walked by there and they seem really cool. Any idea when they will be finished or the size of the apartments?

From Tulsa Metro Chamber's website:

"The five-story structure on First Street was built in 1916 and when the conversion is completed early next year it will have 19 units with a grocery store and deli on ground level."

Looks like the completion date may be less than a year away.

This is great news.  I work in the WilTel/One Technology Center/Possible future City hall building just down the street.  I live on riverside, but I wouldn't mind being able to walk to work.

I suppose if the materials were already on site, the City plans on waving ALL inspections, and crews worked around the clock in three shifts, then it might be possible to hang a shingle in a years time.

Maybe.
