Tulsa, OK- Do to the enormous budget involved, the huge statute entitled “The American” has had some minor modifications to bring it to be. Artist and creator Shan Gray, “Well it’s unfortunate that we have not been able to raise the funding needed for my idea turned into reality, but I think the spirit of the idea is still there”. Half of the statue will still have the Native American feel about it, but the other half will be funded by a private donor. The new recreation will also have a new name, “American, Pete”. Boon Pickens, a major donor to the project, “This will show to all of America, and those damn people in Norman who’s the best in Oklahoma”.
