Title: Past election results MIA?
Post by: sgrizzle on June 18, 2017, 08:55:46 pm
I was trying to look something up and went to Tulsa County Election board site to look up past election results, but they only show 2016 and 2017:
https://www.tulsacounty.org/Tulsacounty/electionboard.aspx

For older election results they send you to the state, which only has records of State and Federal races. No City, County, etc.
https://www.ok.gov/elections/Election_Info/Election_Results/index.html

I then tried TulsaWorld but their election results pages where missing or otherwise. I was also unable to find electronic versions of older print issues. 2/6/8/23 change their websites too often to see anything more than a year or two old. Can we not find election results in the internet age?

The state site should have county and city results. For example, here is the page for Nov. 2012: https://www.ok.gov/elections/Election_Info/General_Election_-_November_6,_2012.html

If you click on "county results" and pick "Tulsa' from the drop down menu, you can see results in federal, state, county, and city elections. These are just the totals from Tulsa county (so for federal/state results, this is a small part of the pie). But it does include city council races, etc. I think the direct link is here: https://www.ok.gov/elections/support/12gen_cnty_72.html

I see 2012, but I see no city/county results prior to 2012.
