One thing I have wondered, he's supposed to live in Westville by the Arkansas state line. That's a helluva commute to his company in Broken Arrow.

Well, I guess we can now say that MarkWayne is full of BullCrap.  He is so intimidated by a gray haired lady waving a red card that he cancelled his Tahlequah townhall afraid that she would show up.  He says he is paying for that health insurance that he will get for free forever.

Kid on my daughter's team traveles all the way from Siloam Spring, AR at least three times a week, usually more. I'm just saying it's not completely inconceivable. Or the guy has two homes, and that is what he considers his primary.

MarkWayne didn't pay for that - he didn't build the company at all.  His daddy did.

Used to be a good company...

Treason.

By either the dictionary definition or the US Constitution definition.   And Oklahoma just loves it.  Along with the 5 other participants from the OK delegation.

And James Langford with them on the other side.

Markwayne Mullin threatened embassy staff as he tried to enter Afghanistan

The call to the U.S. ambassador to Tajikistan came in Monday. On the line, two U.S. officials said, was Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) with an unusual and urgent request: He needed assistance in transporting a huge amount of cash into the country, saying he was going to neighboring Afghanistan to rescue five American citizens, a woman and her four children, stuck in the country. They planned to hire a helicopter for the effort.

Mullin told the embassy that he planned to fly from Tblisi, Georgia, into Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe, in the next few hours and needed the top diplomat’s help, according to the two U.S. officials familiar with the incident, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to disclose private conversations about a sensitive matter.

The answer was no. Embassy officials told Mullin they could not assist him in skirting Tajikistan’s laws on cash limits on his way to visiting one of the most dangerous places on earth.

Mullin was outraged by the response, the officials said — threatening U.S. ambassador John Mark Pommersheim and embassy staff and demanding to know the name of staff members he was speaking with.

The episode marked Mullin’s second attempt to travel to Afghanistan in as many weeks for an unauthorized evacuation effort despite the perilous security environment. Last week, Mullin traveled to Greece and asked the Department of Defense for permission to visit Kabul. The Pentagon denied Mullin’s request, an administration official said.

Mullin’s behavior has alarmed top U.S. officials who say he has gone to extraordinary lengths to defy U.S. warnings. The attempt follows an unauthorized trip to Afghanistan by Reps. Seth Moulton (D-Mass) and Peter Meijer (R-Mich.) last week, which Pentagon and State Department officials criticized as a public relations stunt that sapped government resources during a national-security crisis.

As of late Tuesday, U.S. officials said they were unsure of Mullin’s location. Mullin’s office did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

“To say this is extremely dangerous is a massive understatement,” said a State Department official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive situation.

The remaining U.S. troops in Afghanistan left on Monday, bringing an end to America’s longest war. The U.S. military helped evacuate more than 120,000 people, including U.S. citizens, allies and at-risk Afghans. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday that fewer than 200 American citizens remain in Afghanistan. The department suspended embassy operations and relocated its mission to Qatar, where diplomats are trying to find ways for the remaining Americans and at-risk Afghans in the country to leave.

The State Department reissued a Level 4 travel advisory for the country on Monday urging Americans not to travel there “due to civil unrest, armed conflict, crime, terrorism, kidnapping, and COVID-19.”

The State Department declined to comment on Mullin’s travel or interactions with the embassy. The White House declined to comment on Mullin but referred to press secretary Jen Psaki’s comments from last week urging Americans not to travel to Afghanistan.

Mullin, 44, grew up in Stilwell, Okla., where he was a standout wrestler and earned a scholarship to Missouri Valley College. Injuries derailed his athletic career, and at age 20, he took over his father’s plumbing business. He was also briefly a professional mixed martial arts fighter, and after being elected to Congress in 2012, he became known on the Hill for leading intense workout classes. A member of the conservative Republican Study Committee, Mullin voted against the certification of the 2020 election results.

Unlike Moulton and Meijer, Mullin did not serve in the U.S. military. He has been an outspoken critic of the Biden administration’s exit from Afghanistan.

“This is a sad day for our country,” Mullin said in a statement Monday night. “Americans have been stranded in Afghanistan by the Biden Administration and are now left to defend themselves from terrorists overrunning the country. One motto of our military is ‘leave no man behind.’ But today, that’s exactly what President Biden did.”

Mullin’s repeated attempts to enter Afghanistan follow multiple efforts by the Biden administration to dissuade members of Congress from traveling to the country after Moulton and Meijer’s unauthorized trip last week. The two members, who arranged for their own transportation into the country, said they wanted to provide oversight on the evacuation efforts at the airport. They eventually left on a flight used for evacuating Americans and Afghans.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has issued several warnings against lawmakers trying to travel there.

“We don’t want anybody to think that this was a good idea and that they should try to follow suit,” she said last week.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) concurred: “I don’t think it’s smart for others to go,” he said last week. “You’re putting yourself — not just yourself, but you’re putting Americans — in harm’s way, if the military has to protect you, which they will do.”

On Tuesday, McCarthy went silent and walked away after being asked if he had spoken to Mullin or if he knew where the Oklahoman was.

Lived next door to founder of Mullin Plumbing for couple of years.  He was ok.  Sonny?  Whew!  Train wreck.

Just looked deeper - all the propaganda says Markwayne and wife Christy, founded it in 1973.  Even though he wasn't born until 1977.   Talk about "stolen valor".

Second District Congressman and U.S. Senate candidate Markwayne Mullin says in a fundraising letter that the Biden administration “Without question … tried
to kill me” during his much-publicized trip to the Middle East last August.

He bitterly blamed the U.S. State Department for thwarting his efforts, although some reports say the Defense Department blocked the entry.
The expedition made international headlines after the Washington Post reported that Mullin threatened U.S. Embassy staff in Tajikistan after he was refused
help circumventing that country’s foreign currency limits. At one point it was hinted that he might be missing.

At the time, a State Department told the Washington Post that “to say this (Mullin’s foray) is extremely dangerous is a massive understatement.”

The White House hit back at Republicans in an uncharacteristic manner Thursday by using its Twitter account to go after GOP lawmakers who are bashing President Joe Biden's move to cancel some student debt after they personally benefited from having Paycheck Protection Program loans forgiven during the Covid pandemic.

In a series of tweets, the White House highlighted several congressional Republicans — Reps. Vern Buchanan of Florida, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania, and Markwayne Mullin and Kevin Hern of Oklahoma — who it said had six- and seven-figure PPP loans forgiven as part of a federal program intended to help those harmed by the coronavirus.

The White House also highlighted criticism and PPP loan forgiveness amounts from Mullin (more than $1.4 million) and Hern (more than $1 million).
Mullin responded to the White House on Twitter by saying Biden was unfairly targeting business owners for “protecting their employees” during the height of the pandemic.

Teamsters President Sean O’Brien got into a heated argument with Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) during a Wednesday Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee hearing on union busting tactics.

O’Brien told Mullin he was “out of line” after the GOP senator said that the union leader was “sucking the paycheck” out of workers to earn his salary, which was roughly $193,000 in 2019.

“Don’t tell me I’m out of line,” Mullin responded. “You need to shut your mouth.”

Mullin, who owned non-union plumbing companies before selling his majority stakes in 2021, accused union leaders of engaging in intimidation tactics in an effort to unionize his company so they could pay themselves “exorbitant” salaries.

“We hold greedy CEOs like yourself accountable,” O’Brien responded. “You want to attack my salary, I’ll attack yours. What did you make when you owned your company?”

Mullin — who had a net worth ranging between $31.6 million and $75.6 million in 2020, according to personal financial disclosures analyzed by Oklahoma newspaper Tulsa World — said that he kept his salary to around $50,000 to invest more money into his company.

“You mean you hid money,” O’Brien said, prompting visible outrage from Mullin.

Mullin finished his remarks by stating that he’s “not anti-union” but believes that workers shouldn’t have to pay union dues if they don’t want to.

In 2013, the Office of Congressional Ethics alleged that then-Rep. Mullin received over $600,000 in outside income from its companies, well above the congressional limit. The House Ethics Committee closed its investigation into Mullin in 2018 and ordered him to repay $40,000 to one of his businesses.

All from a guy who got $1.4 Million in PPP loans forgiven.

Even though his company stayed VERY busy throughout the entire pandemic.  I used to go to a Kum & Go in BA just about every weekday on my way to do stuff where there is ALWAYS a large group of his guys starting out the morning.  Filling up truck tanks, breakfast, etc.  I have casual "hello, how you doing" chats with them from time to time and to the man, every single one of them said business was good throughout 2020.  2021.  And 2022.  My traffic pattern changed back before Christmas, so don't get there like I used to, but when I do, I still see many trucks coming and going.

He should be investigated and prosecuted for fraud of the US taxpayer!

Just one big blank check.  We even get to pay for Trumps "2023 Stay Out Of Prison Tour" stop in Tulsa.

When presidents of the United States — current or former — come to town, Tulsa taxpayers typically pick up the tab for security provided by the Tulsa Police Department.

Tulsa police officers were paid more than $450,000 in overtime and earned more than 2,000 hours in compensatory time for their work leading up to, during and after Trump’s June 2020 campaign rally at the BOK Center.

The circumstances surrounding that visit were much different than Saturday’s event.

Trump arrived in Tulsa in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting a heated debate locally and nationally about the wisdom of holding a large indoor rally. At the same time, the country was roiling in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man who was killed by Minneapolis police officers.

Adding to the tensions was the fact that the campaign rally was held the day after Juneteenth, a day traditionally marking the end of slavery in the Civil War Confederacy.

Trump shakes a lot of hands and poses for a lot of photos during Tulsa visit.
“My boys actually made the ask down in Mar-A-Lago when we were down there,” Mullin said, referring to Trump’s Florida home and where Mullin also has a residence.

An attempt to turn a hearing on child care into an indictment of a children’s book went sideways on U.S. Sen. Markwayne Mullin on Wednesday when his “I don’t want reality” rejoinder to a panelist and the resulting laughter went viral.

Mullin was participating in a Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee hearing on child care access and affordability when he held up the book “Our Skin: A First Conversation About Race.”
Mullin objected to the passage: “A long time ago, way before you were born, a group of white people made up an idea called race. They sorted people by skin color and said that white people were better, smarter, prettier, and that they deserve more than everybody else.”

He then compared the song “Jesus Loves the Little Children” — “Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight” — and demanded of the four panelists which was more appropriate.

A fairly common tactic of Mullin and other lawmakers is to try to force witnesses into yes-no/either-or answers and then cut them off when a witness attempts a more nuanced response.

Cheryl Morman, president of the Virginia Alliance for Family Child Care Association, said, “First, it is important that we teach Jesus, and Jesus is what we teach. But the reality is …”

“But do you think …,” cut in Mullin.

“Could she answer the question, please,” said Committee Chairman Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

“I don’t want reality!” Mullin said.

U.S. Sen. Markwayne Mullin has been telling conservative media outlets that President Joe Biden is only running for a second term to “protect his family” and that the FBI is covering up a bribery scandal involving Biden and his family.
Mullin has insisted since before Biden’s election in 2020 that the president and his son Hunter Biden were involved in unethical and illegal dealings overseas. A recent Republican-led House investigation did not find any proof of wrongdoing by President Biden.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Sen. Markwayne Mullin has challenged Teamsters CEO Sean O’Brien to an MMA-style fight.
O'Brien and Mullin have feuded in recent months, including a heated viral exchange at a U.S. Senate hearing in March.
Mullin is a former MMA fighter who retired 15 years ago.
In a recent tweet about Mullin, O'Brien called him a "clown" and a "fraud."
"You know where to find me. Any place, any time cowboy," O'Brien tweeted.
Mullin gave O'Brien three days to accept the challenge.

Mullin: Let's bring back duels and canings in Congress.

In a separate interview with Fox Business hosts Sean Duffy and Dagen McDowell, Mullin again defended his actions by pointing out that Andrew Jackson challenged nine people to a duel while he was president and "knocked one guy out at a White House dinner."

Mullin went on to cite a history of "canings" in the senate — in which one person beats another with a cane — and said "maybe we should bring some of that back" to "keep people from thinking they're so tough."

"Maybe if we have some type of respect because we know there's going to be consequences for your actions, then maybe we can move on with all this, I don't know, jargon that happens around this place," Mullin said.

Late night talk show hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert made fun of the clip of Mullin challenging O'Brien to a fight.

Kimmel called Mullin a "meathead" and said it was like watching "UFC-SPAN."

And someday MWM will reap the consequences of his actions.

Why apologize when you can just sell T-shirts?

In subsequent interviews, you might have expected Mullin to act like a senator and an adult by apologizing and moving on with business. Instead, he doubled down, telling a podcast that he is willing to fight and isn’t afraid to bite.

“And I don’t care where I bite, by the way,” said Mullin, a former pugilist and wrestling enthusiast.

The implications are interesting, and Mullin is now risking some pretty pointed nicknames, especially after a former Republican congressman from Michigan emailed Politico with a story of Mullin putting his finger up the noses of colleagues and their spouses in 2015 on a trip to Israel.

WASHINGTON — Dramatic, newly released video shot by a Jan. 6 rioter shows the confrontation between two Republican members of Congress and Capitol rioters trying to breach the main door into the chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives. The videos show rioters staring down the barrels of guns through broken glass as they tried to force their way inside.

The 8-minute video, shot by Capitol rioter Damon Beckley and introduced as evidence ahead of his sentencing, was released to the media coalition late Friday in response to a request from NBC News.

Rep. Troy Nehls, R-Texas, and Rep. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., can be seen speaking with rioters through the broken glass.

"You ought to be ashamed of yourself!” Nehls says.

“We’re coming in one way or another!” one rioter says.

"I’ve been in law enforcement in Texas for 30 years, and I’ve never had people act this way," Nehls says. "I’m ashamed!"

Nehls has changed his tone in the three years since Jan. 6, even calling the death of Ashli Babbitt — the rioter who was shot by a Capitol Police officer as she jumped thrthe House floor — "murder." In a previous interview with Nightly News, Nehls explained his thinking on Jan. 6.

"I am going to stay right here with my brothers and sisters in blue," Nehls said. "I had my Texas mask on, and he looked at me through that broken glass and he said 'You're from Texas, you should be with us,' and at that point, I said 'No, sir, I cannot support what you're doing, this is criminal.'"

Situational morality.   In any situation, Nehls and Mullin have no morality.

Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) advised former President Trump to stay out of the leadership race to succeed Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

“My advice to President Trump —which you know, President Trump’s his own man, he’s going to make it his decision and he does a good job in that — is to kind of stay out of the race because it’s a lose-lose situation,” he said.
