What makes this restaurant unique: This is an upscale bakery which offers brunch with artisanal baked goods, a well-styled interior and an eclectic selection of gourmet food. They make coffee and a few cocoa or coffee-based mixed drinks.

Tell us about your experience: The baked goods were delicious with some very unique options (eggnog-raspberry pie). The macarons there are outstanding and as pricey as anywhere else. The chocolate pie was tasty and the pecan pie bars are on point. Their pre-made waffles were a bit tough but tasted good. Their version of Eggs Benedict was delicious with perfectly poached eggs (had pesto rather than hollandaise). The fried potatoes were crispy and flavorful. The sausage rolls were very good (very similar to what they have at Heirloom).

Going there late is a nice way to have a break and quick snacks with friends. It was a bit crowded so we shared a table and met some new people. The coffee-based drink we got was very weak both in coffee flavour and Irish cream. The chai-based drink was delicious. The lemon meringue was reportedly good but not really the most meringue-looking top.

This is great for the neighborhood and will definitely improve the walkability and food options which are really piling up around there (Chimera, Phryme, Tavern, Laffa, Sisserou's, Mexicali, Coney Islander, Caz's, Oklahoma Joe's, Hey Mambo and lucky's; plus the new brewpub opening on the corner). I would recommend trying this place. My wife and I have been there at least 4-5 times since it opened and plan to go back relatively often.
